Love Potions: Valentine’s Edition
You might say that Green Dream is my (Maia Iotzova’s) journey from Green to Love. Originally I started a film in which I wanted to expose human’s conflicting relationship with nature. I wanted to show the contradictory ways in which people destroyed what they loved. Interestingly the film process brought me to question my own way of relating to nature and to life. I was also experiencing the contradictory behaviors I was criticizing. I wondered if that behavior came from my inability to relate to life from Love. I decided to start the Love Challenge, and dedicate myself to living from love and in love. The Love Challenge is continuing today.
The end product of this journey will still be a film, chronicling my transformation.
This website has been growing and changing with my own change through Green Dream. The blog has followed my process.
I am also working on creating an interactive website, which will engage the community in the Green Dream journey. I have experimented with a few community interactions: community mapping (Banff, Montreal), and the love challenge.

Perhaps this film is a story about a little girl and a grown woman who live between two different worlds of order and chaos, prosperity and struggle, short grass and tall grass.
It is also a story that takes everything and anything that is GREEN, stretches it out, folds it up and turns it on its side in an attempt to understand the troubled relationship between humans and nature.
But most of all this is a story about Love.
Green Dream has been a great journey, but it has also been all consuming. It is like an iceberg, a small part is seen on top, but the part that holds it together is much larger and unseen. This is the part that is hard to fund, but essential to sustain. You support is greatly appreciated.
